چکیده

This paper aims to study the permeability of High-Performance Concrete containing natural pozzolan and reinforced with fibers in high concentration sodium chloride solution. Optimized finely ground was employed as 6% partial substitution cement. Polypropylene 6 mm 12 lengths were introduced individually for a volume fraction 0.1% 0.15% respectively. Then, combination total fiber content 0.25%. The effect attack on performance concretes assessed through measurement compressive strength, splitting tensile sorptivity, rapid test, apparent intrinsic gas permeability, visual inspection at various testing ages (28, 90, 180, 365 days). A four (04) types cast: one (01) (HPC), three (03) Fiber Reinforced (HPFRC) stored tap water environment. From experiments performed, it can be concluded that polypropylene introduction into HPC favorably affect its chemical resistance long-term durability. difference HPFRC environment is not significant. Furthermore, investigation after days immersion showed no sign degradation. Based results obtained this study, we recommend use hybrid fiber-reinforced concrete (F0-0.25%) low permeable material severe

Damage Simulation of High Performance Fiber Reinforced Concrete

The simulation of damage and failure in short fiber reinforced composites like high performance hybrid-fiber reinforced cement composites is still a challenging task, due to the richness of failure mechanisms introduced by fibers on the mesoscale of the material. Randomly oriented, hooked steel fibers, like the Baekaert Dramix® fibers, sustainable modify the macroscopic failure behavior of the ...

Chloride Permeability of Damaged High-Performance Fiber-Reinforced Cement Composite by Repeated Compressive Loads

The development of cracking in concrete structures leads to significant permeability and to durability problems as a result. Approaches to controlling crack development and crack width in concrete structures have been widely debated. Recently, it was recognized that a high-performance fiber-reinforced cement composite (HPFRCC) provides a possible solution to this inherent problem of cracking by...

Experimental Strengthening of the Two-way Reinforced Concrete Slabs with High Performance Fiber Reinforced Cement Composites Prefabricated Sheets

Reinforced concrete structures need to be strengthened and retrofitted for various reasons, including errors during design and/or construction, so in most cases strengthening of structural elements is much more economical than rebuilding the structure. Using HPFRCC with tensile stiffening behavior has been developed to strengthen the concrete structures over the recent few years. In this paper,...

Feasibility of Reducing the Fiber Content in Ultra-High-Performance Fiber-Reinforced Concrete under Flexure

In this study, the flexural behavior of ultra-high-performance fiber-reinforced concrete (UHPFRC) is examined as a function of fiber length and volume fraction. Straight steel fiber with three different lengths (lf) of 13, 19.5, and 30 mm and four different volume fractions (vf) of 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, and 2.0% are considered. Test results show that post-cracking flexural properties of UHPFRC, suc...

Experimental investigation of the strength of glass fiber-reinforced concrete exposed to high temperature

This study investigated the effects of high temperature exposure on the compressive, tensile, and flexural strengths of concrete containing glass fiber. A total of 108 cubic specimens (150 mm × 150 mm × 150 mm), cylindrical specimens (300 mm × 150 mm), and prismatic specimens (500 mm × 150 mm × 150 mm) were prepared for compressive, tensile, and flexural strength testing, respectively. The spec...
